Auspicious is a collaborative project, a documentary short made of phone, webcam and DSLR video, captured Zoom calls, home movies and still images.
The challenge, for a colorist, was not always knowing which camera was used for a scene. I was unable to apply LUTs to help balance the color, except for a few shots that only add up to a minute in the film.
Regardless of video fidelity, the focus of the film is the story, relationships and experiences that were captured. Thank you to Mée, Hasheel and Parimal for the opportunity to work on the film.
